Painting

This body of paintings began to emerge in the fall of 2008. The idea of using stencils and metallic paint to create a new layer over an already existing painting was the impetus. Some of the paintings have several layers and you can see through to the layers below. They are a compilation of imagery and hold a record of their history.

In many of my paintings I reference the figure, but not purely for the figure. Often it is used to show interaction between mankind and nature or our place, space, and time as we journey on this earth plane. Nature references are also used to remind us of our connection to spirit through nature.
